1. Visa 482: Increased salary requirements for sponsorship
Details:
- CSIT (Core Skills Income Threshold) will increase from AUD 73,150 to AUD 76,515.
- SSIT (Specialist Skills Income Threshold) will increase from AUD 135,000 to AUD 141,210.

2. Visa fees will increase
- Student Visa fees will increase from AUD 1,600 to AUD 2,000 (Source: Jameson Law)
- Citizenship application fees will increase from AUD 560 to AUD 575.
3. Increased work hours for international students
- Undergraduate students will be allowed to work up to 24 hours per week, up from 20 hours previously.
- Postgraduate students (Master’s, PhD) will be allowed to work full-time without any hourly limits.
4. Skills assessment fee increase
- Skills assessment fees are expected to increase by 3–4% starting from July 1, 2025.
