1. Visa 482: Increased salary requirements for sponsorship

• CSIT (Core Skills Income Threshold) will increase from AUD 73,150 to AUD 76,515.
• SSIT (Specialist Skills Income Threshold) will increase from AUD 135,000 to AUD 141,210.

2. Visa fees will increase

• Student Visa fees will increase from AUD 1,600 to AUD 2,000 (Source: Jameson Law)
• Citizenship application fees will increase from AUD 560 to AUD 575.

3. Increased work hours for international students

• Undergraduate students will be allowed to work up to 24 hours per week, up from 20 hours previously.
• Postgraduate students (Master’s, PhD) will be allowed to work full-time without any hourly limits.

4. Skills assessment fee increase

• Skills assessment fees are expected to increase by 3–4% starting from July 1, 2025.
