Why Choose the Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning)?
This degree is approved by the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) and equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to work as a financial adviser and succeed in the dynamic financial services industry.
As of January 1, 2022, FASEA has been dissolved, and its functions have been transferred to the Financial Adviser Standards and Conduct Unit (FASCU), a division within the Australian Government’s Treasury Department.
The program has been developed in collaboration with industry-leading professionals and researchers, ensuring that the course content is practical, up-to-date, and aligned with the rapidly changing business landscape.
Industry-Experienced Educators
You will learn from experienced academics and practicing financial advisers. Subjects are taught through real-world perspectives, giving you deep insights into the challenges and opportunities facing today’s financial planning professionals.
Hands-On Learning with Advanced Facilities
As a student, you’ll gain access to the Iress Trading Room on campus, equipped with modern technology and live data feeds, allowing you to simulate real-time market activities and sharpen your financial decision-making skills.
World-Class Business School Recognition
The University of South Australia Business School is the only business school in South Australia to be accredited by both:
AACSB – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
EFMD (EQUIS) – The European Quality Improvement System
These dual accreditations are global benchmarks of excellence, recognizing the quality of teaching, learning, and research, and the university’s ongoing commitment to innovation and improvement.
Fast-Track to a Master’s Degree
You can fast-track your career by combining the Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) with the Master of Management.
Through this pathway, you can graduate with both degrees in just four years (3 years undergraduate + 1 year postgraduate), instead of the usual five. This is made possible by substituting selected undergraduate courses with master’s-level subjects, helping you save time and reduce tuition costs, while accelerating your entry into the professional world.
