What to do when you have a CoE for the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) – GDM course at this time?

If you currently own the CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) of the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) – GDM course, you must have been quite worried recently about the changes related to this curriculum. The most important thing at this time is that not all of you with a GDM CoE will be affected in the same way.

Làm Gì Khi Có CoE Khóa Graduate Diploma Of Management (Learning) - GDM Trong Thời Điểm Này ?

Depending on the start time of the course, CoE status and whether the GDM course is packaged with other study programs or not, the treatment plan will be completely different. Therefore, before deciding to cancel the course, change schools or submit a new Visa application, you need to determine exactly which case you fall into.

What if you are studying or starting GDM before October 5, 2026?

This is a relatively favorable case. If you are studying a Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) – GDM, or your course starts before October 5, 2026, then in principle you will continue to study in your program. It is worth noting that your CoE is not canceled simply because of changes applied to GDM courses starting after this point.

Simply put, if you started the program before October 5, 2026 or will start before this time, you should not panic and arbitrarily change your study plan just because of information online. However, you should still proactively check directly with the school or Agent to confirm your specific CoE status.

The start date of educational courses after October 5, 2026 has been pushed forward by the school.

Some vocational schools have proactively adjusted the opening schedule of educational courses expected to start after October 5, 2026. Instead of keeping the old schedule, the school can bring the course start date to October 5, 2026 to suit the new situation. If you fall into this situation, the most important thing is to check the new CoE and the course start date updated by the school. If your GDM course actually starts before October 5, 2026 according to the school’s new schedule, you can still continue your study plan according to the program the school offers.

Therefore, if the Agent or school informs you that the start date of your course has been adjusted, do not rush to cancel the CoE or submit a new Visa application, instead you should ask the school or Agent directly before making a decision to ensure the information you understand is correct to avoid “Money lost, disability lost”.

What if GDM is packaged with Cert III, Cert IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma?

This is a case that many students are interested in. If your CoE is a long-term package, in which GDM is studied together with one or more other vocational courses such as: Cert III → Cert IV → Diploma → Advanced Diploma, it is necessary to distinguish each CoE and each study program. In case GDM is the affected program part, GDM’s CoE may be canceled, but that does not mean your entire package is canceled.

The CoEs of other courses you are studying or will continue to study can remain the same and continue to be implemented as planned. This is why you should not assume that your entire learning path is lost just because the CoE GDM has problems. First you need to check exactly which CoEs the school is processing, which CoEs are still valid and what your next study plans are. But if you want to be more proactive, contact the school directly to see if your CoE is having problems, then go to the Agent where you process your Visa application and register to change courses.

If the GDM CoE is canceled, what should I do?

If you receive a notification that your CoE Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) – GDM is cancelled, the first thing to do is not to panic. You need to identify an alternative that suits your Visa status and study plan.

Option 1: Switch to a CoE under Higher Education

One of the options to consider is to apply for a CoE of an Education program University (Higher Education) to replace the CoE of Education. However, this is not simply a matter of “changing one CoE to another”. Your new major needs to be consistent with your educational goals, previous studies, and career plans. More importantly, it is necessary to review the entire application to limit problems related to Visa requirements.

Therefore, if you choose this direction, you should discuss with the school and Agent before confirming the new program.

Option 2: Consider applying for a new student visa

If you do not want to switch to a Higher Education program or cannot find a suitable alternative program, another option is to consider applying for a new Study Abroad Visa. But this is a decision that needs to be carefully considered. Submitting a new Visa means your application will be considered based on the circumstances at the time of application, including study purpose, study history, finance and related factors.

Therefore, you should not immediately submit a new Visa application just because the GDM CoE has been canceled without fully evaluating your situation.

Option 3: Apply for a tuition refund

If you do not continue the GDM course, please contact the school or Agent to check the tuition refund policy. Refund amount, processing time and related conditions will depend on each school’s policies and the status of your application.

You should ask the school to clearly confirm in writing the refund amount and expected time to receive the money to avoid future disputes.

The most important thing: Do not arbitrarily cancel CoE or change courses

During a period of rapid policy change, information on Facebook groups or TikTok can make international students very confused. But each profile can have a completely different status. Two people studying GDM at the same time, but one person started the course before October 5, 2026, the other person is expected to start after this time may have different solutions.

Similarly, people who study GDM independently will be different from people who have a GDM + Diploma package or GDM + other vocational programs. Therefore, before making any changes, check at least three pieces of information:

GDM course start date – current CoE status – other CoEs in the package (if any).

Then decide whether to continue studying, change programs, apply for a new CoE, submit a new Visa or request a tuition refund.

De1 What does Consultancy advise you to do now?

If you currently have a GDM CoE, don’t rush to cancel the CoE and don’t rush to apply for a new Visa just based on word of mouth information. Please contact the school or Agent managing your application to accurately confirm your CoE status.

If your GDM CoE is still valid and your course starts before 5 October 2026, please check with your school to confirm you can still continue your program. If the start date is changed, ask the school to confirm the new schedule and CoE.

If the GDM CoE is truly canceled, only then will we evaluate alternative options such as transferring to a Higher Education program, considering a new Visa application or implementing tuition refund procedures. The most important thing is to process based on your actual application status, instead of applying a general plan for all international students.

If you currently have a CoE Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) – GDM, please check your course start date and CoE status now. These are two pieces of information that determine which group you belong to and how to handle them.
